Sister Churches

“We at Cornerstone strive to see people come to saving faith, to watch community groups multiply, to have our pastoral team grow, and to empower people to utilize their gifts in serving the body. We are also a church that wants to multiply by planting other church-planting churches.”

Cornerstone West LA has planted two churches in recent years. Both of these churches share our theological convictions and ministry philosophy. They were established out of a longing to see the gospel continue to grow and spread throughout our city. We maintain a close relationship with both churches and rejoice in the ways we get to partner together for the sake of the gospel in Los Angeles.

We are also a church that wants to multiply by planting other church-planting churches.” For more on this philosophy, please read Demetrius Nathan’s blog post, Why Multiply?

Cornerstone South Bay

Cornerstone South Bay was born out of a love for God and a love for people. Many years ago, members of our team began to talk and dream. What was God asking us to do? And where did He want us to go? After years of praying and exploring, we fell in love with the part of the South Bay that we affectionately refer to as "The Triangle," made up of the communities of Hawthorne, Lawndale, and Gardena. Cornerstone South Bay first began meeting in the summer of 2019, and has grown into a small but thriving church ministering to the people of this community. We all come from different walks of life, but Jesus draws us to himself and to one another.

Shalom Bible Church

Shalom Bible Church was launched in the spring of 2022, and held our first Sunday service on April 10th. We exist to experience and share the Shalom of Christ in Jefferson Park, South LA, and the ends of the earth. We are seeking to do this by proclaiming the truth of God to all people, discipling and equipping the saints, and purposefully loving our community and the world, by the grace of God. Why “Shalom”? It’s a word commonly known to mean “peace,” but it has many more meanings in Scripture. Our mission is to bring the holistic shalom of Christ to our neighbors in Jefferson Park and South LA.
